Body detoxification process



What is detoxification?

Detoxification is a natural body process aiming to eliminate and neutralize the toxins through 6 different ways: liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, gut and lymph.

This process is automatic as your body detoxes daily to clean out unwanted substances. It is an ingenious « self-cleaning system ».



What are toxins?

Toxins refer to any substances/residues our body can’t digest or get rid of, creating waste.

It can come from 2 sources:

  • Internal: metabolic waste from cells, bacterias in the digestive system

  • External: pollution and pollutants



Body toxicity

Nowadays with pollution and many pollutants in our daily life (air, water, food), our systems can be overloaded making the detoxification process slower and more difficult. Thus there is an accumulation of unwanted substances in our tissues leading to a weakened immune system and less resistance to diseases.

Also, prolonged mental stress and negative emotions as well as the sedentarity of modern society contributes to toxicity.



Toxins' symptoms

When toxins are accumulated, your body might send you some signals to get back on the right path:

  • Poor digestion with bloating or gas

  • Abnormal body odor, bad breath

  • Coated tongue

  • Adult acne

  • Fatigue, anxiety, irritability…



Tips to promote detoxification

  • Avoid pollutants (polluted air, processed foods, alcoholic drinks, drugs)

  • Healthy diet

  • Good hydratation (Drink Water Club)

  • Regular physical activity

  • Reduce stress & negative emotions

  • Good sleep hygiene
